OCIA

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process by which adults, wishing to become Catholic, are introduced to the community, the traditions, the liturgical rites, and the beliefs of our faith. The OCIA journey begins in September and culminates on Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil.

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a welcoming place to explore life’s biggest questions in a relaxed setting, meet others on a similar journey, and learn what Catholics believe.  No pressure. Just come and explore.

Already Catholic?  Invite a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member who may be searching for a deeper relationship with Jesus or a church to call home. Your invitation could change a life.

Our first gathering is Monday, August 31, 2026 from 6:30-8pm at St. Barnabas Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, Northfield, OH 44067 in Bedell Commons, next to the church.  Sign up for more info here.
