The Parish Pastoral Council is a body of parishioners, clergy and laity alike, entrusted with:
- the discernment of the parish pastoral needs,
- the fostering of a parish vision,
- the communication and sharing of that vision, and;
- the proper utilization of parish resources.
Members of the council represent not merely their own interests or even the interests of a select group of the parish, but are to represent the interests and pastoral needs of the entire parish community.
The Parish Pastoral Council is consultative in nature and concerns itself with the matters of the parish that are pastoral in nature and of major pastoral concern.
